The 1973-74 Ducati 750 Super Sport is quite simply, the finest motorcycle ever produced. That’s right, I said it. Fight me.
Let me be clear, I don’t own one of these, and although I might like to, one doesn’t own a bike like this. At best, one is a rider, a caretaker, and foremost, an admirer. This flawless bike cannot be conquered and cannot be denied. The four-stroke, twin cylinder 750cc Imola engine. The sensually curved fairing. The sleek racing profile. Is it wrong to love a motorcycle? If so, I don’t want to be right. But to attempt to own one of these seems the height of arrogance. I choose to continue to love it from afar.
